I need some practice in how to file a complaint with a hospital regarding nursing disatisfaction. I want to practice on someone else's hospital before tackling my own locals.
Should I try offering to help first? Should I go straight for the jugluar?
I'm not sure where to start. Maybe someone has already been down this road and can give me some advice.
I can do nothing I suppose but I hate to see unorganized nurses get run over by management. I find nurses to be really smart people but not too bright about circling their wagons.

I think as the "boyfriend of a nurse" you should stay out of it. I love to come home and complain to my dear hubby. However, I would never ever expect him to file a complaint in any instance that did not personally involve him.
When you come home from your construction job, I'm sure you like to complain just a little bit to your girlfriend. However, calling your boss or putting something in writing is a completely different matter.
I would mind my own business.
Thanks for your input TramaRUs. Your words of caution are duely noted.
It's hard to sit idly by and watch a loved one suffer. There must be a way to push for/request a positive effect. What if I offered to sit on the board of directors to guide the hospital in general without focusing the spotlight on any individual nursing catagory?
Just talked to my girlfriend (now fiancee) and she said to stay out of it. She suggested that I solve the problem by making more money so she can quit her job.....haha thats real funny, she makes more than I do!

PattonD.......That is the same advice I give my husband when he gets upset with the conditions I work under.

Serious question (no snark)--Is there some reason she can't do or say something?
