FGCU Nursing Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello. Deadline for spring is near so I thought I would start a convo for applicants to share their stats and plans. I am very excited but nervous. My overall GPA is 3.73, science and pre recs is 3.65. I am waiting to take my tease at the last minute. I hope I do well. Please share your info. I look forward to getting to know you...

I have an industrial ear piercing in one ear and thats it, would they tell me to take it out?

Hi guys I'm Kaity! I just found this thread but I am accepted to the Spring 2019 program. I had a 3.79 GPA and an 89.3 on the TEAS. I am transferring from FSU as a Junior.

does anyone know how large FGCUs spring program is?? I can't find a reliable source abt it anywhere lol

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of job would work with the course load?? Also were you in the fall or spring program??

Does anyone know what the lowest GPA they'll accept is? I have a 3.34 but grade forgiveness applied so really a 3.24ish and 86 on the TEAS. If I retake the TEAS and get in the high 90s would I have any chance at all? Fall 2019 is the last semester I'm applying before I give up... I got into FSW's program but I don't want to leave FGCU :(

Hi Michelle! I was wondering what shoes you wore in the program and clinicals?

Hello! Just posting for any future students looking to apply to FGCU. I applied for Spring 2019 with 3.95 GPA and 89% on TEAS but received my rejection letter yesterday. Not sure what criteria FGCU goes by, I applied the third day the applications opened, too. So don't think it's first come first serve either. Idk. Maybe they put heavy emphasis on volunteering/involvement? Luckily I already got into another school. Good luck to everyone awaiting spring 2019 decisions and all the future students looking back at this thread to gauge the statistics of acceptance.

I applied with 4.0 GPA and 72.7 TEAS score :/. I have 2 years of medical experience as an EMT, strong background as an pro athlete as well as TON of volunteering. I am fluent in 3 languages and many other side curriculums/activities and still got letter of rejection. I have been at the Nursing office multiple times to acquire was is the criteria they go by and yet nothing. I only studied two weeks for the TEAS however, I had a new born at the time and the new semester was approaching quickly so I figured to give a try. It is pretty shady that the school is not open with admission policies or sharing the pool of candidates like other much bigger and famous schools.

At the office they told me that they only take your first attempt :(.

Hey, I know it's been a year but I was told by an advisor yesterday that the TEAs I took at FSW has to be taken at FGCU to count. I was wanting to know if that is true? I know the first attempt is the only attempt and I got a 82% on the FSW TEAs just yesterday. If anyone can give me clarification it would be greatly appreciated!
