We should find out in mid April. In regards to the first post about the TEAS exam...there really is no 'minimum' score, but as a rough guideline I would say 65% and above. Do you guys know how competitive the FGCU SON is? I know my school (UNF) only accepts 48 people...I'm scared, lol. Good luck ladies.
YES, I heard that we should hear about acceptance in Mid April. Also, the nursing adviser said the average mean score for the Teas science was 76.91.
To itsjlarious: Are you applying to UNF as well?
I am applying to UNF and FGCU and UCF.
well I'll keep you guys posted if I get accepted to the Nursing Program. Good Luck everyone!!
I am applying to UNF, FGCU and UF. Couldn't apply to UCF because I got a C+ in chem instead of a B. Where do you attend school now?

:)Hi, I'm Currently attending Edison State college and I'm also applying to their program as well (forgot to include). I'm 19 years old and I already received my A.A. degree but I'm deciding whether to get My bachelors in Nursing or my Associates in Nursing. I know it probably makes more sense to get my Bachelor's but just in case I don't get accepted to a Bachelor's program, I will be applying to a Edison State's Nursing program just in case and do my bachelors right after that becuz Edison has a RN - BSN. :uhoh3:So, what's your plan??
Wellllll my plan is similar to yours. I'm 19 & have my A.A. as well. I know I want to get my BSN, but if I don't get into a nursing school at a University, I might just have to get an A.S. & do the RN-BSN program (which I'd rather not do...) I am very worried because my cum GPA is only a 3.34 & I got an 83% on the TEAS--other applicants seem to be doing way better than me. I just recently learned that a 3.3 is pretty low for nursing school. Wish me luck, I'm scared. On the bright side, someone will always have a better GPA than me and someone will always have a worse GPA than me. I should stop worrying about the competitive factor because the decision is not in my hands & there is nothing I can do about it. =/ Do you know how competitive FGCU's admission process is? Do you think I have a shot with a 3.34?
i don't know how competitive fgcu it's nerve wracking, i can only speculate i emailed the nursing adviser and she said the average (mean) score for those who were accepted were as follows:
teas percentile rank - 73.35
teas science - 76.91
i think if you fall between these scores you should have possibility of getting in but gpa i'm not sure. my gpa is not all that high either i have a 3.27 but i didn't take general chemistry yet (4 credits). i'm just as scared but i can only hope and pray that i get accepted. i don't really know how many applied to the school or what their teas scores are. but i have to look on the bright side i'm still young and i can always do it the long way and i can't give up. i hope they look at more than just look at gpa . i think if we have a shot and just stay positive!!!
let me know when you hear something.
How did you do on the TEAS? I only got a 73 in science but an 83 overall. ahhhhh! thanks for the positivity, I really need it right now =/ sorry to keep questioning you lol
That's no problem I like to hear others that are going through the same thing I am.
well, for the Science I got a 73.3 and Overall i got a 73.
Now I feel a little less confident that's not really high, but I thought the science was a little difficult and your score is pretty high. If I had to guess what the committee would be looking at closely it would definitely be the Science score and percentile rank and Prerequisite GPA!!
But Lets hope for the Best I think we still might have a chance just stay positive. :)
Oh, let me know if you got an interview to the UNF program, we should get a letter in the mail tomorrow or Friday!!
