If you like a little spicy food we tweaked an alfredo recipe to make a blackened alfredo. Use your same cream sauce--but when you grill the chicken use blackened seasoning on it. Also I slice grape tomatoes in half and use the pan juices plus a little butter to sautee tomato, garlic, and a little onion. Then I add them to the alfredo sauce. Still yummy comfort food with a little kick ?

So in the wake of our bereavement my sone said he wanted to learne how to make Fettuchini alfredo from scratch. I am going to try to lighten it up a bit by using half and half instead of heavy cream. I made fresh pasta dough and will teach him how to roll it out later.
I am also making fresh home made bread and an heirloom tomato relish. I hope to post some pictures later today.
