Felician University Spring 2021 Nursing Applicants

Published

Anyone applying for the ABSN program at Felician University for Spring 2020.
I'm currently working on my last pre-req classes, and I will be submitting my application before end of September this year. My advisor, Jessica Brookie, also recommended I take Pathophysiology for this coming semester.
I'm excited to get into the program, and would love to be in contact with anyone who is in the same boat as me!

Me!! I'm applying. I need to take pathophysiology as well.

@_nursebriiii Awesome! Me, too. When are you taking patho? I recently spoke with my advisor and she's going to register me for a mini-mester this Oct 26th (I believe is the start date). My tentative date is Spring 21, but I would love to start this Jan.

So I haven't gotten an acceptance yet so my advisor said to register for the October patho in the mean time. If I get denied, I can drop it. Were you already accepted? I'm super nervous LOL.

No, I haven't applied. I will start the application process in Sept when my Summer class ends; my deadline is end of Sept. But I did sign the ABSN pre-req plan completion (for patho), so I'm thinking its a "promise" to complete that class before the Nursing program. I think we will be fine as they just need to make sure we complete that patho class. We'll prob be in the same class!
Don't be nervous! Who am I kidding, I am, too LOL.

Did you already apply? Your advisor told you will get the decision prior to taking pathophys?

Hello guys! I just got conditionally accepted to the hybrid ABSN Spring 2021 cohort starting January 11. Still waiting to hear back from the the other schools I applied to. I really like that program is hybrid, but I’m also nervous and had heard mixed reviews about the program. I’m currently taking the patho class at a local community college which they accept. Has anyone else heard back ?

Specializes in Nursing.

Hey All,

where are you guys taking your prerequisites? Any online schools you can suggest?

Hi! I am submitting my application in this coming week! I spoke with my advisor, and she pretty much said I will be able to start in January!  Initially, it was suppose to be in March, but I'm assuming they have availability in January hybrid program now.  I am a little nervous.  I've read mixed reviews, but I've wanted to start nursing in forever and I'm going to just have to put the work in it!  We still meet for clinicals 1x/week and eventually 2x/week.  I hope to join study groups, too.  I like that we have control to learn at our pace; we have access to lectures at all times, and we are able to watch as often as we want.
I'm actually taking patho end of oct with Felician.  My local community college doesn't offer it ?

Hi! I took most of mine at my local community college, Ocean County College.  Right now, I'm doing accelerated classes for API & APII (last pre-reqs aside from patho), both online.  I will also start patho with Felician in October; currently, they're classes are discounted.  I highly recommend OCC for their online classes. If you have other questions, feel free to e-mail me [email protected]   How many pre-reqs do you have left to take?

Hye guys!

I got conditionally accepted and begin in January.

I'm finishing my prerequisites online at the University of New England. I took both Microbiology and Pathophysiology with the labs online. It's self-paced and the lab kit is sent to your home. They also offer most prerequisite-health science courses. They have two starting dates per month.

Good luck! Hope to join some study groups!
