I've wanted to be a nurse my whole life. Right now I attended madonna u as a pre nursing student. I will be applying for the nursing program in January. I heard from many that it is likely I won't be accepted my first try because madonna looks at how long you have been a student there (this is my first semester) I am enrolled in 13 credits at the moment. I have been stressing and crying non stop for 3 weeks and I actually made myself sick

What I'm about to share, you already know; I'm just sharing to reinforce it with you. Your feelings are normal, they are valid. It is what we do with those feelings that develop us over time. You know that crying and being sick over the unknown and uncontrollable have no value. While it is very hard sometimes, you know you can choose to push through. You are in control of moving forward with classes at your school and even looking at alternatives within the area or moving to another area. Stop letting your feelings control you, and start moving forward. You can do it.
Thank you.

I'm here for the 'tough love' part.
You said: " I have been stressing and crying non stop for 3 weeks and I actually made myself sick"
This is a problem.
If you are going to get THIS worked up with ONE semester of pre-requs under your belt, you are going to have a VERY VERY hard road ahead. Let's put pre-requs aside; nursing school will present you with many tough obstacles and you should anticipate plenty of pitfalls.
You will fail in things you thought you'd succeed, you will struggle with concepts that others find simple. You will be rebuffed by people you ask for help, and will have to appear strong and poised when inside you feel like Jello.
Consider all of the above, and think about whether you really need to be turning your guts into salsa so early in the game?

Thank you. I needed that :) it's a new school too so I think it may have something to do with it
You're welcome! Being young, new school, lots of changes. Nursing school definitely does not nurture warm fuzzies; you have to be ready to hit it head on, and hit it hard
Now, one more thing: cute photo, but please change it to something anonymous. The 'net is full of sick weirdos, and the last thing you need is one of them following you.....for all the wrong reasons. Beyond that, if you want to post something truly anonymously, having your face on it won't be of much help
