Feeling like maybe I shouldn't be a nurse :(

I know that we all make mistakes and that we are all human, but sometimes I am so hard on myself and let my confidence get so low that I start wondering if I should be a nurse at all. I love nursing. I love what I do. But, in the same breath, nursing totally stresses me out. Anyone else out there ever feel this way? What do you do to make yourself keep going?

Do you have any hobbies or ways to de-stress yourself? Make some room for "me time." You'll feel a ton better and happier about life.

How long have you been a nurse? Yes nursing is a stressful job but at some point you need to turn it off.

I wish I could "turn it off"... that's part of my problem. I've been a nurse for 2 years now. Please tell me it will get better and that I will eventually feel more confident!

2 years is still quite new! I know everyone says the first year is the hardest(and I agree) but I didn't really feel like I was hitting my stride til year 5. I'm almost 8 years in now and have been in Onc all that time and feel pretty confident(although I still learn something every shift!)
