Feeling discouraged :(

Is it too late to drop the class and get a withdraw? If so, that might not be a bad option. I'm not in the habit of dropping classes, but you have three difficult classes going on at once and it might be a bit much. You might do better at Chem if you don't have stats and A&P II to compete for your mental capacity.

That is a very good idea, I thought I could handle it but I don't want my gpa to fall. I was considering talking with the professor this week to see if she will offer any extra credit, but if not that may be only option if it's not too late.

There is one more option. What is the passing grade for a science course for a nursing program? If it a C, then if you do extremely well on your last exam, you have a chance of getting a C, C+. That is, of course, you are not able to drop the class.

Your class syllabus should have the "last date to drop" date listed on it. I would go look that up now so you know exactly how long you have to decide. Chem is a core science requirement that a lot of nursing schools will look at separate from your GPA, so if you can drop and retake it with less on your plate, I think that's going to be your best option.

I was actually just looking at it and apparently a 69% is a C in this particular class, so I may actually have a chance after all

I think I have to contact the university, I don't see that information on this syllabus but my other classes show it has already passed. I assume that day is institution wide but I will check after the weekend to make sure I explore all my options.

One of my math classes prevented me from getting into my nursing program on time. I was less than one point away from having the grade I needed to count towards nursing points and the teacher would not move the grade at all despite me being an extremely hard working student. I reapplied for the nursing program and got in and I am currently retaking the class where I now have a 98% average. Do not give up. If this is what you really really want to do with your life then you will do everything you can to get there. If you're working hard and it still isn't good enough then you aren't working hard enough! I am not trying to be rude or harsh because I totally know how hard these classes are and how stressful it all is but you just have to keep asking yourself how bad you want it. Record lectures or record yourself reading notes and listen to it while driving if you can use bluetooth or aux cord in your car. Make note cards or use quizlet for everything you need to study. Find study groups or study with friends in your classes. Reach out to the instructor or find tutoring. You CAN do this!! You will only regret not doing more to save your grades in the end. I worked my butt off in the math class and it was not enough and I know that now. I could have done a little more each day to make sure I fully understood everything and I didn't. Even though I was constantly speaking with the teacher and studying super hard, it still wasn't good enough. If you have 100% tried your hardest and still can't get it, consider other career options so you can find something that works for you. Before I got my acceptance letter, I was considering surgical tech school instead because there is less competition and it is easier to gain entry to. I hope this helps! I have two C's too in my science courses. I don't even know if I should apply. I'm really depressed abou this.

I would talk to your professor before you drop the class. A lot of professors will help you if you approach them. Also, are you in a study group? That may be beneficial to you if you can learn that way. I personally have to hand write notes in class to retain the lectures. A lot of people print out the power points and write along but I find that I do not learn well that way. Unfortunately, those are three tough classes to take in one semester.
