It's almost my six month as dialysis nurse but still I feel like I don't know my pt that much. Maybe because I'm just intimidated to my fellow nurse who knows my pt very much than me. Does anyone here have this kind of feeling? pls. help!
Yeah I know how to give meds, what to do in case of complications, priming at putting on the pt.. but still I feel I'm missing something. Maybe lack of communication to doctor.. huhu sometimes I'm kind afraid to talk to doctor. Sometimes when I get nervous I tend to forget everthing I mean not everything, it's just arrgh, kinda hard to explain.

I think I know how you are feeling in a way. In my case I underestimated cultural differences and language differences. Apparently knowing the global language of English isn't enough. I'm currently suffering from language barrier which just makes the fact that I'm not most sociable worse. Right now I'm insecure with this other nurse who is newer to the unit than I am. He already has established rapport with many patients. It's making me feel bad which tends to make me perform poorly.
All I can say is that we can't stay like this forever. I can see that you have an idea of what you lack and all you need to do is to act. Which reminds me, I have to learn another language. Good luck to the two of us.

Do you have mid-levels where you work? They can act as a go-between for you.
