Welcome to the Website
I just started.
There are no "clinicals". They take into account you are already an RN with experience. Anything you need to do you can do at your place of employment. I think in the end they are asking you to follow a supervisor around for a day, and this is the only clinical like experience. However, they may ask to you do things at work like attend meetings, committees, interview people etc. One of our project options was to attend an Ethics Committee meeting and report on it, but I choose something else and wrote another paper.
So far so good. I was a bit overwhelmed at first, because it is a bit of work. I'm only in my third week, but I think I'm going to stick with it for the long haul, because I'm learning a lot. It's NLN approved and 100% online.
Good luck in whatever you decide to do. I'll be happy to answer any questions if I can.
I might add, that one thing I don't like about the program is the mandatory chat time. It's only one hour a week and no big deal, but it disrupts my schedule as my work schedule changes every other week.
It's an interesting hour and goes by quickly though.

Hi! I am, also, seriously considering FHCHS. My advisor has always replied quickly and kindly with tons of info. The communication factor is a big part of my consideration for this school. And of course, the curriculum is the main objective. Plus, like you, I have only heard good things. I am considering a another school, but they have not tried to contact me. So, I think that is a bust.
i agree with you. if they don't contact you, what kind of help are you going to get in their program. at this point i am not even considering anywhere else. i'll know more once i talk to my person at work that will be in charge of funding my bsn thru my job. that i do on thursday. from what i can tell they are only asking the school be nln accredited.
The support system is pretty good. I've always gotten quick responses to questions. The instructor is very good about answering emails. The chemistry class I'll be taking soon has tutors available to call or email.
Good luck in whatever you guys decide to do.
FYI, don't forget they are a Christian college. Each chat session and lecture begins with prayer, and there's talk about Christianity and Christian principles. But it's all nursing and that's just a very small part of it, and if it's good enough for NLN, it's o.k. with me. I'll get the BSN from an NLN accredited school and that's what I'm looking for. Just an FYI, because that kind of surprised me, but I'm definately o.k. with it.
