FAU P/T BSN Spring 2021

Thought I'd start a thread for the Spring 2021 intake of the FAU P/T BSN. Has anyone else applied (and heard back) yet?

Specializes in B.A. in Health Science; Minor in Health Admin..

Hello everyone, I submitted my application for the program yesterday.

For the people who had a response; how long was the wait? 

How was the interview process?

I received a confirmation email from FAU, and I reached out to the advisor and she said everything has been received. She said they will reach out to me when the application is reviewed.

I'm so nervous.

Hi! I hear that it can take a few months to hear back even for some of my friends who had above a 3.0 GPA in all their sciences and baccalaureate degrees. Hope you hear back soon! I still haven't heard anything yet. Lacey told me it could take a while bc there's a bigger wave of people that have applied

It took a month for them to review my application and get back to me.

What day is your interview scheduled for? Mine is next Thursday, I am kinda nervous yet very excited LOL.

Oh my gosh! Turns out I received an email yesterday, but I didn't even see it because I was swamped with work! I saw it this morning and had to re-read the email to make sure I wasn't dreaming. 

How are you going to prepare for your interview? I'm completely ecstatic.

Glad you got an interview Erin! I just got mine too! I applied first day apps were open. Also does anyone know anyone currently in the program? I’ve really been wanting to hear from someone first hand in their experience particularly in balancing work since I am a full time director. Thx!!! Good luck everyone- hopefully we will all be there together in Spring!

I’ve just been watching Youtube videos about popular nursing school interview questions, and practicing a basic about me LOL just incase we are asked the emphasis “tell me about yourself.” I have a friend who graduated from FAU’s accelerated program a year ago so she explained to me how her interview went during the admission process.

I heard on the information session that it was just simple questions about you that we can’t really prepare for. Sounds like maybe they are just assessing for fit?

Right, I’m sure they are really just trying to get to know us to see if we will be a good addition to the program.

Did they mention how long it will take to receive a decision?
