FAU FNP 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone has heard back about interviews/admissions for Florida Atlantic University's Fall 2020 FNP program.

I applied to NursingCas and to FAU well before the deadline and still haven't heard anything.

Nothing! I check my emails and myfau a million times a day like a crazy person. I'm hoping we find out this week.

Hi everyone. I called the advisor for the FNP program and he said they’re still working on the emails. That all decisions should be out by the end of this week.

So my decision status still says "referred to department". Does that mean they are still sending out responses?

Yes they have not yet made a decision.

For those completing Castle Branch, has anyone been changed in their status from Conditionally Accepted to Accepted yet? I got an email that my fingerprints and background checked were good, and that I was eligible for placement. That was a week ago, and no change yet.

Did anyone contact you to instruct you on the castle branch process or did you just start on your own? They said someone would be contacting us but I haven’t heard anything since that last blanket email 3 weeks ago??

I just received the email with instructions on Thursday in my FAU email.

@AshleyMnurse Hi, Where did you find the access code and ORI for fingerprints? My Castlebranch doesn't have it posted where the instructions says it should be.

Did anyone have trouble with the TB test? I got one through the Occ Health department at my job but it got rejected and looking further into the requirements they’re wanting a 2-step TB test and mine was a 1-step I believe??

@Nurse_on_the_Go I'm sorry, I'm just now seeing this. Did you find the ORI? It was on my castle branch I think.

@JenniD008 I haven't submitted mine yet. I'm confused on 2 step vs 1 step. Mine will be submitted from work too, and is dated 2016. Is that too old? Mine is a prick, and then checking back in 3-4 days, which I assumed was the 2 step process. Did you go to a PCP for the annual student health form?

My understanding is that it needs to be a recent one, and two step is getting 2 separate tests a week apart (mine was an injection under the skin and then getting it read 2-3 days after) so I now go for my second one this week.

I was able to call my work’s occ health department and get it done through them.

And yes I had my PCP sign the annual student health form!
