FAU BSN-DNP start May 2018

Published

I could not find a thread for the DNP program starting May 2018, so I thought I would start one. Had my interview and now the wait begins...

It's the same for online vs in class. Out of state is always a lot more expensive, no matter whichschool or state.

I just checked my admission status and it changed to conditionally accepted. So I am cautiously optimistic.

I received notification of my admission yesterday via email!!

Congrats!!! I haven't received an email yet but my status changed. Hoping that the email will follow soon.

@annasmum - I am not able to private message you back because I am not very active on this site lol. but I am in for DNP! Sounds like you're in too, CONGRATS!!!!!! I got the email before my status changed on the website.

@ goldfinger Did the email come to your private email directly from the nursing college or from the graduate college? My status changed yesterday but no email yet. I am super excited but still nervous until I have the official ok. Is your status conditional too?

it came to my personal email, and in it it says that the status will stay conditional until you pass the level 2 background check. I'm assuming that by going through with the background check that is basically accepting the spot

Just got my email í ½í¸Ší ¼í¾‰í ¼í½¾

So I completed everything they mentioned in my admission letter. The only thing left is the actual fingerprinting. I sent my fingerprinting release form last week. Do you know if they contact us with a where and when?

I am following the MSN thread and saw that there is a program orientation that was mentioned on their acceptance notification. I don't remember seeing anything like that on my notification and have not received an email about orientation for the DNP program. I know there were a couple of emails that I never received or received super late. Did anyone hear about program orientation? And just to double check the graduate college orientation is not mandatory? TIA

I am also following the MSN thread. I think we have Orientation on 5/12, but we also have class that day, so I don't know how that will work. Still waiting to find out which books we need for the class that has the monthly meetings. Are you going to the Graduate College Orientation?

Yes, I was planning on going. That way I can get my student ID and any books I might still need. You should have had an email about the 6824 class and the books today. I emailed the DNp coordinator and they will do the program orientation on 5/13 either befor or after class.
