FAU BSN-DNP Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Track Summer 2017

Published

I applied to FAU's BSN-DNP program for the FNP track, starting in May 2017. Just wanted to start a post for anyone else who has applied. I submitted my application in the beginning of February, but haven't heard anything. Has anyone gotten an interview? I know someone who applied to the Geriatric/Acute Care track and has an interview scheduled.

Hi,

I also applied to the BSN-DNP program at FAU. I was a last minute applicant and Adult/gero was the track that I selected. Hopefully we start to hear back from FAU pretty quickly.

I havnt heard back from them yet! Still waiting to hear about an interview!

I applied in September of last year and had my interview the last week of February. After my interview they said I'll know within 2 weeks or so and today makes it over a month so I don't know what that means. I followed up and emailed the admissions people and they said as soon as they hear something they will let me know. Hope this helps.

I applied December 14, got called for an interview March 16 and they sent me a provisional acceptance letter today, pending receipt of a clear background check. They also sent a link to request registration access.

Did you get this in the mail or via email?

Email from the coordinator to request regustration permission and email from program director with letter informing of acceptance. Check your application status it should say "decision made"

It still says referred to department. Whatever that means. I guess I did not get in, if it's taking that long.

This is the second time I applied, first time I didn't get in and it said "decision made" in application status on the decision line it said "Grad admission denied", so don't give up yet.

Ok, I'll keep hope alive. When did you get the denial? Was it around this time or later into April? But do you know when the exact cut off time would be? I feel the not knowing is my issue. I want to be able to move on but I'm stuck waiting on them to say yes or no.

Last year I got it the same time my friend got her acceptance, but it was mid april, this year they were earlier. In any case the graduate school will send an email telling you a decision has been made when they update it.

Did you consider other graduate schools? If no, why FAU and not FIU or UF? Did you take non degree seeking courses whilel you waited to reapply?
