FAU Accelerated BSN May 2010

Hey everyone! I just found out that I was accepted today! However, I am torn. I have not heard yet from UF, where I am currently an undergrad and my first choice. I will not hear from them until March and I am supposed to tell FAU by tomorrow whether I accept or decline. Anyone else in a similar situation?

If I were you, I would head to the nursing building and talk to someone and explain your situation and see if he can maybe let you know if they have made any decisions! I mean, I know UF accepts around 55 people so I am sure you would get accepted there!!

When you recieved your email from FAU about the MyFAU login setup, how long after did it take to find out you got accepted to the Nursing program? I am still waiting!! :crying2:

You get an e-mail about your My FAU login setup before getting the acceptance e-mail?? I got one of those yesterday, but figured that it was due to being accepted to FAU regular, not the nursing program. I have been watching my e-mail like a hawk and everytime I see someone else has been accepted I get more and more nervous!! Congratulations to you all but it is so nerve racking to wait and see. The suspense is killing me.

Please do tell about getting the MyFAU login e-mail and if that is a precurser to getting the acceptance e-mail or not. Thanks!

I found out through email. I know one day is crazy. I emailed a lady and asked if there is anyway that they would be able to extend it. I feel a bit bad about doing that because I know there are people on the waitlist waiting for that spot, but still. I thought about going to someone's office, but I don't know that he would tell me anything...it's worth a shot though I guess. I got my FAU login set up email yesterday, but I wasn't sure whether that was because I got into the nursing program of just the University in general. I find it strange they didn't tell everyone at the same time.

I received my physical acceptance letter in the mail today, and I was expecting it to be a packet containing information about orientation, books, registering for classes, etc, but it was basically a copy of the email that I received last week. Am I missing something or is everyone else missing this information as well? That is a bit frustrating since I will be living 500 miles away until mid-April and would like to know if I have to request time off for orientation!

Aw yay! I was so upset when I found out I was waitlisted I wish they had just waited to tell me you know? Since it only took two days. Are you definitely attending?

Probably... I agree though, I wish they just waited but I don't really care, I'm just really excited I got in somewhere. Do you go to UF now? I do, HEB major :)

I'm still waiting but I guess if I haven't heard by now, I didn't get in. I put the traditional as my second choice so I'm wondering when I will hear about that. Does anyone know how many people applied and how many get accepted? Did anyone get a letter saying they didn't get in? Someone said everyone should know by today and I still haven't got anything so I'll just wait it out. Congrats to everyone who made it!

I got a letter saying I didn't get in. I jotted someone an e-mail last Fri and she e-mailed me back a letter in response. Congrats to all those that did get in! I guess they put more emphasis on undergrad GPA than I thought they would -- because my prereq's were all A's and Hesi was in the 90's. Oh well, on to focusing on the other schools I would like to go to.
