It stated on their website that even if your a Florida resident, they still charge everyone out of state fees. Did they say why at the information session?

No, she didn’t go into why. I’m guessing it costs more since it’s convenient and students can still work full-time. It’s modeled after the executive MBA at FAU.

I don't think convenience should cost almost three times as much for tuition. If it was affordable I would of considered that program as an option because I have two small children...

Sometimes I feel like some FL state schools are less likely to accept current students for ABSN, which makes no sense to me but whatever. FIU is like this with their ABSN. My friend graduated there with a biology degree 3.9 overall GPA and was a TA and tutor. And had a 4.0 GPA in pre-reqs. Also like 90-something percentile in her TEAS. Not even an interview lol I don't get it.

That's interesting. I also had a 3.9 pre-req, 3.7 overall, 90th percentile TEAS and didn't get an interview

I hear ya. I think you would need to do the math and do a cost-benefit analysis to see if it’s still worth it.

Oh wow. Even though I've had all pre-reqs done for awhile? I'm only a current student because I have to complete the 2nd semester of a foreign language to get my degree next month, I'm not taking any other classes. I'm surprised to hear that would affect acceptance.

Yep! That’s exactly what happened to me. I had all my prerequisites complete and was about to graduate two months later but still got denied. I got an email that said because of the large amount of people that applied, They are only considering anyone who already has a bachelors degree completed by the time of application.

I got an email this morning. I have interview on April 18, at 1pm. Anyone else has the same time ?

I got an interview for April 18 at 1:45

What is the format for the interview this year? Also, does anyone know what types of questions will be asked? Any advice to help prepare would be greatly appreciated!

I also applied for this program!

My interview is April 17th, anyone know what to expect? I’m super nervous!

Interview set for 4/17 at 3:30!

For those of you who got an interview, do you have a bachelors degree in a science related field? And is the degree from FAU? Just curious!

Also, any info on the interview process/format would be great. ☺️

Congrats! My interview is The day before.

I have a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Georgia State University.

Congrats & good luck! I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology from FAU. Just curious what most people who applied have their primary degrees in.
