I'm graduating with a master's in education this semester. I currently do training for a healthcare/pharma company and I've decided I want to pursue either a BSN or a MSN (depending on which program I get into). I have a 3.9 in my master's program and I had a 3.7 in my undergrad. My family has always been very supportive of me, but they are not supportive of my decision to pursue nursing. They think I won't be able to handle it, because in the past I've had issues with blood and gore. I'm just not used to them not supporting what I want to do. I plan on pursuing this anyway, I eventually want to get into nurse education or administration. What do you all think?

Wow...I can imagine it's hard hearing your family's disapproval for the first time. I, too, used to never be able to handle blood and gore. I can handle it to a certain extent now (it's getting easier and easier by watching surgeries online). The only thing that still gets me a bit is anything saliva/phlegm.
All I can say is go for it! You know what you want to do - your family won't be at your job every day for the next umpteen years. If you want to do it do it! :)
I see you are applying to Baptist Memphis for this fall. I recently took the HOBET and now an nervously waiting on their letters to be sent out in June...how are you holding up?
