I am involved in a research project evaluating the effects of family presence in code situations and invasive proceedures in the intensive care setting. How many of you have a policy which allows family presence?

I did my MSN research paper on family presence during resuscitation in the ER. It is a very interesting topic - will be glad to share my bibliography with you:

Thanks for the references.

What I need to know is if any of your ICU's have policies allowing family presence. I know our ED does. We just formulated a policy and are collecting data on the effects of family presence in code 99 and invasive procedures.
