Hello,
I am wondering if anyone can tell me what to do about a false accusation in an employee file? I was accused of abandonment of assignment internally with a hospital organization 5 years ago. I just recently found this out as I was rejected for per diem employment with this company. I am really upset as I have never had disciplinary action internally or against my license. I am trying to see if this is a matter I can clear up with HR my self or do I need to hire an attorney to have this removed? I thought about typing up a letter to request this to be removed from my employee file. It is a large hospital org and I do not like having this on my record, even though it is only internal.
Thank you

You can address a letter to HR yourself asking to have that removed, but if you have a brother- or sister-in-law or cousin or buddy who's a licensed attorney, a short nastygram on office letterhead would probably work better.
