Fall 2015 Transfer NYU Nursing

Hey, I just applied to the NYU BSN program as a transfer for Fall 2015. I see all these threads for the ABSN program, but none for the regular BSN program. I just want to know if anyone else is in the same boat. Thanks

Hey guys, looks like rejections for fall transfers have started today. Looks like we made it past the first wave since none of us have been rejected! Official NYU Fall 2015 Transfer Thread - Page 87 - College Confidential - many have gotten rejected this morning so it's safe to say they're looking into our applications. I got rejected today actually.

I think I will reapply for next Spring since you can reapply in the same year if you are a Transfer Applicant!

I think it was my essay that let me down.

don't be sorry! I am actually applying to another college that NYU has an agreement with so I can get a degree ASAP and then go directly into their nursing program without worrying for (ABSN) :) it's so hard to get into a nursing program as an undergrad now a days! everyone good luck.

they sent this email to my email! if you see anything with "On the behalf.." you got in!

Dear XX,The admissions committee at New York University has carefully considered your application and supporting credentials, and it is with regret that I must inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to NYU this year.

As you likely suspect, we receive more applications from exceedingly qualified students than we are able to admit each year. Unfortunately, even though students may be clearly competitive for admission based on their academic records and their test scores, we are only able to admit a fraction of qualified students given the space we have available in our classes at NYU.

Given the volume of applications we receive each year, please understand that we regrettably cannot respond to appeal requests and we cannot reconsider your application or any new credentials this year.

Although we cannot reconsider your application for admission to any of the traditional undergraduate schools and colleges at NYU for the upcoming term, the Paul McGhee Division of our School of Professional Studies represents an alternative. NYU's McGhee Division welcomes transfer applications from students on a rolling basis for spring, summer, and fall admission. If you would like to learn more about McGhee programs and the McGhee community, which meets the needs of the adult learner, you should be in touch with them directly by visiting their website for prospective students.

Again, I am sorry for the disappointing news. On behalf of the NYU community, I wish you only the best as you continue your education.

Do you happen to know when they will send out acceptance letters?

Not sure honestly but I did read just now they deny A LOOTTT of transfer students.

I think 89% don't get in. So expect to see many deny letters!
