Published

Hey everyone! Fall 2018 semester ending and application season upon us I thought it might be time to open up a thread for us. I am finishing up my last pre-req's this semester and very hopeful that I will keep my 4.0 GPA. Is anyone else as excited as me?

now I'm unsure if this post is for Tallahassee Community College...can someone confirm?

I believe that this forum is for Tarrant County College Fall 2019.

Hey everyone! I turned in my application February the 11th. I can’t wait until May to see if I got in for fall 2019.

Hello, I am just working on gathering all of the information I need for my application! I will be applying with the following stats:

A&P 2 - A

Micro - A

Hi! I am about to take the HESI for Fall 2019 applications. I am a little behind in the processs. What did you do to study for the HESI? I got the study book that was recommended and made quizlet study cards. I took it back in 2018, I didn’t do to well. Could you offer any advice to score as well as you did? Thank you!

Hi @Tallynurse0721 the only book I used to study was the Elsevier Hesi A2 which I purchased here: https://m.barnesandnoble.com/w/admission-assessment-exam-review-hesi/1124195364?ean=9780323353786&pcta=n&st=PLA&sid=BNB_ADL+Core+Good+New+Textbooks+-+Mobile+Low&sourceId=PLAGoNA&dpid=tdtve346c&2sid=Google_m&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7tn2v7Gb4QIVB77ACh04dAB3EAQYAiABEgKkVvD_BwE the material was very similar. I also used the Hesi A2 prep apps on my phone. As far as advice I would def recommend studying at least a month in advance if possible. If not, review each section, I would have done better if I didn’t skip over sections I thought I would be good at just “winging.”

Good luck!

Hello everyone,

I just applied with

ANP I: B/ ANP 2 : A/ MICRO: B

Hesi:93.

Do you know guys how many applicants do we have ?

thank you .

Hey everyone,

So my grades are:

A&P 1: A

A&P 2: B

Micro: A

HESI: 96.5

Fingers crossed. I heard Fall semester tends to have more applicants.

I went on a tour with Ken Tellis yesterday of the Ghazvini center. The avaerage GPA of applicants is 3.0-3.5. They do have some make it through with a 2.8-2.9 GPA. The admissions board HEAVILY look at HESI A2 scores. There is 56 seats available and 7 alternates. The last 3 sessions all 7 alternates got in. They get about 200-250 applications for the fall semester. It comes down to the point system of 160 points. The closest to 160 gets seat one and so on...

I am taking the HESI soon. Wish me luck!

Hello Tallynurse0721,I am a little bit confused, are you talking about Tarrant County College ?

@Tallynurse0721 are you applying for another school other than Tarrant County College? The application period for Fall 2019 closes today at 5pm and generally 180 applicants are accepted. I apologize for any confusion, just wanted to make sure we are all on the same page here. At any rate, good luck!

I think everyone on here is talking about a different college but, I am also talking about Tallahasssee Community College and applied last month! Thanks for this info, Ken never mentioned to me that he gave tours of the center! My points add up to 142. Good luck with the HESI!
