I got accepted into Nassau's evening program, 3.34 gpa, did all my pre-reqs, just need the 4 nursing classes.
I was also accepted to other schools, which made me do a background check & drug screening, which i passed.
My question is, does Nassau also require a background check & drug screening?
I found it quite odd that nassau has not required this....I have done my physical, cpr, uniform, I get my books next week, just wondering if the school will require this also.
PS...Congrats to all that got accepted not just to Nassau, but to all other schools...it is not easy and the road is still filled with many obstacles...just keep up with it.

I have a 3.5 do you think I can.get in all I havdo to do is my electives I want to apply for the spring
I must make a correction, i had to order my transcript for the first day of class, sept 1, and officially my gpa is 3.32
With a 3.5 you will def get in. Just try to get your electives out of the way before you actually start class. Less of a work load for you, more chance of getting great grades and paying more attention to the actual nursing classes.
As far as my question that i posted, I asked the nurse's office at NCC while getting my blue slip/physical clearance. The nurse said NCC does not do background/drug screening..but some clinical sites do require it.
Good Luck..
***for my fellow male nursing students, I found these nursing shoes for clinical...i ordered them and they are very comfortable.
