I thought I would start a thread for those of us who have been accepted and are attending NH in July! I am soooo excited to get started! I will be attending the May 15th orientation. Let's all help and encourage each other as we start this crazy journey!
The big lesson that I learned this semester is to study every day, no matter what else is going on. If I had other homework, I would always try to complete that first. A care plan can take HOURS and hours. I would work on that for instance and not study lecture material. There is always something that needs to be worked on. Trying to do these things first, would leave me cramming the day or two before the test. NOT good. Always schedule time to study every day. Also, record lectures and listen to them. Don't forget to your med-surg book. The instructors give you power points, but for a better understanding of the material, read your book. Not everyone did this.
Hi! The May orientation was good! We got a lot of information about what to expect and what all we needed to do before the start of school. It was a LOT of info to take in but also very exciting to be at this stage! If you look back a few pages you will see a Facebook page that was made and a lot of people post on there rather than on here. Check it out!

You are a life saver! I have been so anxious with everything and orientation still seems so far away and it is not even a week away. On the stethoscope- can we choose whatever brand/color we want? or at least did your class get too, if ours is changing a slight bit.
