Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

After not getting in I decided to bite the bullet and just retake a&p since I had a b in a&p 1 and an A in English and scored like a 90 something on the HESI. I took an 8 week course and paid almost 700 to take it I passed with an A so now applying with 7.664. I am just so ready to get in. Don’t qualify for financial aid because of the max time frame , hence having to refresh classes, but determined to get into Montgomery. I heard there program is really good and their pass rate in the program as well as in passing the hesi is excellent!

I’m only asking because Ik i can’t get pell grants because i already have my bachelors but i still qualify for student loans

I’m in the same boat! When I tried to appeal it, they declined my appeal because they said I should have enough money to pay for nursing school -_-

Lonestar said that I make enough money currently to be able to pay for school (which doesn’t make sense bc I’m not gonna work since they tell us not to work so how am I supposed to pay for school/bills/etc) lol but we shall see

Did you put that in your appeal? Because I’m going to to my post-baccalaureate appeal for loans and now I’m a lil nervous! Like i said Ik i can’t get pell grants but Ik i can get student loans i just have to get the schools approval
