Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Published

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

Okay awesome! I just sent a request to join ?

Does anyone know how many alternates were roughly taken last fall 2018? Just curious to know.

No idea! What I want to know is how many people applied for this year as well for the cut off to be close to a 7.4. If my 7.37 was the cut off, you are right below me and you should definitely get in.

Where can you turn it in at? Did it say in your email? I think I read on the website you need MMR, Tdap, TB skin test, hep C screen (I didn’t read anything for hep A?), etc.

my finger print is scheduled for this coming Tuesday, I’m immune to hep c, mmr, varicella and have these tigers from January of this year. Do you know if tetorifice needs to be shown as tigers or can it just be in the vaccine records? I had my tetorifice shot for the first time in 2017. I need the skin test as well, but that’s 3mos prior to starting.

Anyone here know the schedule for north Harris AFTER the first 3 weeks? Considering that I’ve taken AP2, pharm and medical micro already. I also need to know if ALL classes are held at the health professional building and NOT at main campus.

I did all of that already for the LVN program in June, but they don’t want us to do nothing just yet except come to the orientation for more info. And we turn the intent to enroll paperwork to the Montgomery lady

Seriously calm down love! You are rushing everything! You are stress please calm your spirit! Everything will be given to you you have time! You have done everything right! And Ik it’s really hard to sit by and wait! Ik you are just trying to find SOMETHING or anything to do but there is nothing left for you to do right now not until you get your letter and go to orientation

I know ?? my worry now is my job ?? I’ll beg and plead if I can go part time the days I’m not in class since I’ll have to leave an hr prior to the class starting to make sure and be there on time.

Things will work out how they are suppose to!

I just talked to someone that graduated from the north Harris program yesterday and she said you can become an intern at a hospital while in the program, that way you will almost certainly have a job when you graduate. They only require you to work 1 day a week and she said the nurses there help you study!

I just talked to someone in the transition program. They said Montgomery is doing the orientation for all campuses, not just if you wanted to get in at Montgomery - so you have attend or they take you off the list of alternates.
