Jul 27, 201016 yr I hope most of you have loaded up on drop slips....I've seen some of these schedules posted, and I'm not saying which ones in particualr--buy by week 3 you're going to be burned out. In other words, ain't gonna happen!

In other words, ain't gonna happen!Aww you don't believe in some of us :/I think it really depends on the type of person, not the class schedule. If someone is determined, doesn't have a social life, has a great support group (husband loves chemistry), and has been preparing for some time (already read anatomy for dummies, anatomy demystified, chemistry for dummies, shwabs chemistry, and working on english which is not my best subject) I think it will be possible.

In other words, ain't gonna happen! For some, it's not like they can pick and choose which classes they will take once they are in the program. Some (I can't speak for all) have very rigid schedules and progression. My first semester sounded intimidating (16 credits=foundations, health assessment, pharmacology, pathophysiology) but they had structured it to help minimize risk for burn out.
Jul 27, 201016 yr I fortunately took all my pre reqs so I have Fundamentals 101 Nursing lab 101 and clinicals. I took gym classes too so in all 8credit hrs. Im sure I will still have my schedule full of studying.

In other words, ain't gonna happen!I for one have absolutely no choice in the classes I'm taking. If I want to be in the program, my schedule must be what it is with everything ranging from the classes I'm in to the particular section of each class I'm in to what days/times my clinicals are. The same could be true for others with heavy credit loads.
Jul 27, 201016 yr WOW!! I feel bad about being stressed about my fall schedule now Anyways, here is what I have:Microbiology 3 creditsMicro Lab 1 creditNursing Technology 1 & Lab 8 creditsIt's going to be busy- but I'm excited!
Jul 27, 201016 yr burn out is not an option for some of us. If you stay focused, pace yourself, and practice time management it is possible. A young lady I know that just finished her LPN classes....is an inspiration to me. She didnt have the best support system at home...she has two small children... so she went to school full time...came home spent time with the kids fed them and put them to bed. Afterwards she would do her studying. She made it happen and so can I. I am single but have a man in my life...I work part time ( when School starts I will only work the weekends) and I have no life other than the Dream I am living. And did I mention I am not a spring chicken anymore? It is possible to accomplish a dream...if you keep your eyes on the goal you have set forth....Good Luck to all...
Jul 27, 201016 yr I hope all of us can remember to leave updates throughout the semester let everyone know how its going :)
