Fall 2010 Classes!!

I'm so excited for school to start! So I thought it would be cool to see what everyone is taking. I'm sure many of us have some of the same classes!:yeah:

I am going into my last semester for my RN I will taking:

Adult Health II w/ Clinical

Also Excited but Also Nervous about the up and coming semester.

I will be taking Introduction to Nursing and Ethics

Nursing Care of Children (lecture and clinic)

Nursing Care of Women/Family (lecture and clinic)

Advanced Pharmacology

I start September 2nd. I have all my supportive and prerequisite classes done so I'm taking Foundations of Nursing. In my school that translates to 4 days a week. 1 day of theory, 1 day of lab and 2 clinical rotation days, which we we will be starting in the LTC facilities after about 4 weeks in. I'm excited and nervous!! :yeah:

I have my orientation (8 am until 3:30 pm) on Aug 11, classes start Aug 16!

First semester is:

Pathophysiology 3 credits lecture

Health Assessment 3 credits lecture + lab

Concepts of Professional Nursing 3 credits lecture

Foundation of Nursing Practice 8 credits lecture + lab

total credits - 17

English Composition Preview (3 cr)

  • (I finished my college english comp classes in 2006, so I need a review)

Academic and Life Transitions (1 cr)

  • (Stupid class that all newly admitted nursing students must take which sucks since I already have a BS)

Clinical Concepts for Nursing Practice (2 cr)

Foundations of Nursing Practice (5 cr)

Nursing Health Assessment (1 cr)

Total of 12 credits

Orientation August 17-19

Official Start Date **August 23**

Starting August 23rd I start my nursing experience. I'm taking 4 classes and Clinical starting in October. :)
