I know there is an entrance exam but I'm not sure if it's the TEAS or KAPLAN or NLN pre entrance exam. I can't get in touch with a nursing advisor which is frustrating and I don't think the site has been update in months if not years.. does anybody know whats going on with the test and if i would have to wait for the grades to the two classes I'm taking right now to apply. Also i took phys in HS and the credits are transferable but would i need to go get a transcript from York, LAGCC, and City Tech when I apply?
I got my ASN and my BSN from City Tech. The faculty is (or at least used to be) VERY strict with these things (physical must be submitted on time or you are unable to take that class that semester). They need to submit everyone's paperwork to the facility where you will be having clinicals early, so if you are not on time they will drop your class if you have already registered for it. Always make sure that you turn in your paperwork as soon as possible.
Good luck, everyone!
Oh ok, so your applying for the spring2015 nursing. I came in as a tranfer student so to balance out my credits from another school i had to retake a&p2. I got a B. But i dont know if i should take over a&p1 because its old. On the website it says a&p1 should be over 5 years old. But it also says if you take a higher class, they will take that instead.
Hi guys , I have a question , I'm a transfer student and I have my bachelors from touro college , I have about 3.6 gpa in my pre reqs and my concern is that my teas score was 61 and passing is 64 when I went to the nursing department to get some advise whether or not I should apply I was advised that I should I apply anyway because they don't know what the pool of applicants will look like. So I applied and now waiting for an answer

You can get your flu shots at CVS and Rite Aid now, just make sure the pharmacist writes the Lot number on the card they give you and not just the name of the vaccine.
