Fall 2015 City Colleges of Chicago people?

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Hey y'all,

I submitted my application for the city college ADN program earlier this year and since it is May, I figured I would start this topic for when the admissions decisions come back in a few weeks! I hope I get in, I would be so happy if I did.

According to their last email, admissions isn't accepting calls anymore. Guess they got tired of lying to us :(

Whew...I just called for a physical, I managed to get one just in time for June 25th! Now I just need to sign up for CPR.

Is there a form i need for my doctor to fill out for Physical. I got apt next saturday.

Where are you doing your CPR?

I called this afternoon. I was told that they have no update for me. Ummmm.. What the hell?

I really don't know about any forms, I'm guessing it's just a school physical form and then your drug test results, TB test results, and you have to get the titers done, then any vaccinations you may need. Can anyone who's already done this verify for us? :)

I think I'm going to sign up for CPR on the American Red Cross website. They have where you do all the reading and study at home online, then the actual skills test part is about 2 hours on site.

They will have to givers an answer at some point. Until than we have to keep hopes up.

Do u know which drug test?

Could you please explain what is titers?

Titers are just tests that check your immunity to most diseases you got vaccines for as a child. Most people don't have their shot records or haven't gotten some vaccines because they weren't needed when you were younger. If you have an updated shot record you wouldn't need titers done.

According to the CCC website, we need a 10 panel drug test, so thats what I'm going to ask the doc to do.

Yes, you need a form for the physical. I would just have the doctor do everything and fill the forms out when you get them.

Tabandsam is correct about the required tests. But there is a form to be completed for each. They changed the drug test to 9 panel blood.

So let me just make sure I got it correct. The form we get when we get accepted. We need 9 panel drug test. TB test done. And the necessary vaccines.

Thanks Trw,

And the doctor has all these forms? It's not anything we need to bring with us to the appointment? Thanks for clarifying :)
