Fairfield University CRNA 2024

I submitted my app to Fairfield University's May 2024 CRNA program, just thought I'd start the forum now for everyone.

Hi all,

 

Hope you all are doing well in your respective CRNA program. I wanted to reach out and ask a few questions:

 

Did any of you apply to CRNA with 1 year of CC experience? Were you accepted? And since you have clinical rotations do you think its necessary to have more CC experience?

 

I have 5 years of medsurg experience and only 1 year ICU, but because of where I'm at in life I don't feel I have time to gain years of CC experience especially when CRNA school is 3 years long. 

 

Any insight helps.

No I haven't heard back yet. Do you know if they finally got accredited?

After creeping the COA website it looks like the meeting they were referring to where they were going to review the items they asked them to complete was 1/25-1/27. If that's when they decided then hopefully we should have some answers soon. I don't know how quickly they would get an answer after that meeting but hopefully soon!

Decisions are pushed until late February. Sounds like accreditation is likely!

Ah gotcha!

Yeah I got accepted at TCU which started in January! I was going to still interview and hope to hear back before TCU started but when the email said decisions wouldn't be made until accreditation was done in February, I decided to go ahead and accept at TCU. Just started a few weeks ago!

Nice well congrats! TCU is a great program from what I've heard!

My coworker said she got denied. My portal still says awaiting decision.
