No email but I received a rejection letter via my portal. Honestly super bummer. I didn't feel like I crushed my interview but also didn't think I bombed it. It also was so short I felt like I didn't have the chance to highlight/ showcase myself much. It is was it is. There is next year. Not too sure where to improve on tho I guess other than practicing even more for my interview. I have been a PICU nurse for 5 years working at all level 1 trauma centers. If I had less experience I feel like my chances of getting in next year would improve in perspective to more work experience. However..  feeling like I did all I could to prepare this application cycle. There's always room for improvement I suppose. Just need to figure out where in particular

Don't let it get you down too much, next app cycle is 9 months away. You got this.
If I can add my two cents. Find leadership opportunities that you can highlight and work on. That's what I'm going to be doing. As the CRNA, you're it. Leadership is going to be huge and they even have courses that centered around leadership practice in the curriculum. You can always improve, your work experience is great, but think what can set you apart.

To be honest everyone I know who got accepted were people who talked about their personal life, like the interview wasn't as formal. I think they were looking for people who were going to do that, have more a conversation and a flow to the interview. I personally didn't do that either I just approached it very formally so they can see I took the process seriously. I haven't heard back but got accepted to another school and will be going there. I agree 15 minutes is way too short to really stand out. Just fuel yourself and just apply next year again don't let this discourage you

I appreciate your insight! I guess my next question would be. Aside from adding additional leadership experience to my resume how would I highlight this in the interview if it didn't get brought up? Of the questions they asked me there wasn't a chance to try and even fit that in

I included a lot of it in my essay. But the questions asked didn't highlight me. Like someone else pointed out too. I did take stick a few things in that wasn't asked. So I'd still say do that. They didn't ask why Fairfield, but I mentioned why a little bit. My interview skills suck, so I have to imrpove that as well but I think you can always just include what you want after you answer their question.

Thankfully I have another school I applied to and am awaiting an interview for. These are helpful tips. I definitely could have showcased more personal aspects when they said tell us about yourself/ work experience. I'm optimistic to use some of the take aways from this interview and hopefully rock this next one

Keep your head up. I've been there before. I'm not a expert, but my advice is to own the room, because you have only 15 minutes to show them who you are. Introduce yourself, use humor, anything that gets their attention. Have your answers provide them insight on who you are as a person. Don't be so text book or scripted. You definitely qualify, that's how you got the interview. Also, there are only 20plus seats, so I'm sure there are more than that deserve a spot. One more thing, interview early, first day in my opinion.  Good luck. Don't give up.

Sorry to all those who received rejection letters. I hope you do hear back from other schools. Best of luck!

Does anyone on this thread still have an awaiting decision on their portal? I have not interviewed, but I was sent an email a couple of months ago that it would be a 2nd round interview type of situation. I wonder if this means it will go to the second round or if the cohort was filled.

Does anyone have any information about the Austin tx campus ?

Anyone hear back yet or should we wait until 4pm?
