Failing at Comp 2

I can do science. I'm awesome at math and chemistry. But English? English is my downfall. It took me 3 tries to pass Comp 1, and now I don't know how I'm going to make it through Comp 2.

I've been staring at my homework for 2 days. I've rewritten it about a hundred times. We're supposed to identify the thesis statement and evidence for the argument, but I swear there are 3 different thesis statements!! I'm so confused, but I'm a stay-at-home mom and I'm not sure I can find childcare so I can go to campus for help.

I just want to cry. I don't want this class to be the reason I can't be a nurse :arghh: Does anyone have any advice?

Email the professor outlining the three thesis statements you identified and their supporting evidence. Ask him/her to guide you in understanding how to identify the sole statement that is correct. The professor should be able to teach you even through email. Good luck!

Does your school offer an English tutoring center?

Could you be trying to cover too many things? When is it due?
