Failed Teas Test Twice

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I currently go to a community college that requires the NLN exam. But I tried to get into a private college that required taking the Teas V and getting a 66%. I failed it both times. Has anyone taken the TEAS and the NLN? Which is harder? I only had a couple weeks to study for the TEAS but will have a couple months to study for the NLN. I really want to be a Nurse I don't want to give up. Does anyone have any suggestions on studying the NLN? I have the book. Any suggestions would be great.

I've already taken the test twice for the school I am applying to also and I didn't like my grade for either test. I made above the requirement but the school I want to go to is competitive and they allow you to take the test more than once. So I am taking it again in a few weeks. The school looks at each time you take it so I am trying to make as high of a score as possible on the next and final attempt. I keep seeing people say it's pretty basic, it's basic to an extent. The English and reading portions are basic, the algebra/math part I suppose is basic, I haven't taken college algebra in so many years it's not all that easy to me any more, some of the things at least. The science, on mine had too many chemistry problems on it for me which is my downfall which sucks for me a lot. Some people study for a week and can make above an 80 on the test. And then there is me who can study for months and can't get past a 73, so I'm studying more and re-going over things, and taking the practice tests that you can buy online from ATI. Sometimes I want to give up and then I come on here to look for inspiration which I was doing right now and saw your post. Don't give up. I've decided that I am not going to give up. Even if I have to take other routes and do LVN first even though I already have a bachelors degree in another filed and I have a medical assistant certification, if I have to apply to another school I was not planning on going to, or whatever I have to do I will not give up until I am finally a RN. If it is what you want don't give up either.
