FAILED 1st Attempt

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I graduated May 2011. Took the nclex end of July and failed with 265 questions. I did not sleep AT ALL (anxiety) the night before my test and was at the site at 6 30am (test was at 8am). I was so sleepy through out the test and my eyes were burning, I was not concentrating at all and I only took 1 break. I studied using Saunder's and kaplan qbank (I was scoring mid 50's all the way through). This is the first time that I have failed a test and am very disappointed in myself. I felt like I was guessing on a lot of questions and was getting so many priority questions. By the time I left the site, I was so weak, I could barely drive home. I have now started studying again and I am using the exam cram, Kaplan qbank, and saunders. I will be retaking mid september again and I really need motivation and advice. There is SO much to remember, even with the content. I was an A & B student throughout nursing school. I was near passing on all categories of the nclex...I don't even know what this means. Any advice would be greatly appreciated (Thanks):crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2:

the la charity book by linda lacharity is a must-have so i recommend u get one.. i'm kinda like in the same boat as you, i took nclex last friday, 5th of august.. didn't have enough sleep the night before with a lot of what-if's racing in my mind, i slept at 2 in the morning and got up at 6(my exam was scheduled at 9am).. during the exam i only took the first break to go to the restroom and came back quickly just to get the exam over with. the computer shut off at 187 questions and i left pearsonvue with discontent. i got only 4-5 sata's, a lot of priority questions, 2 math, 1 picture question.. did the pearson vue trick yesterday and went straight to credit card info.. i cried last night, but told myself only money was lost.. i could still take nclex again..

main point is just to move on and accept that there's a reason for everything..i know a lot of smart people who graduated with honors that failed a number of times, but they're still striving that one day that horrid nclex will bow down and let them pass.. let's pray and move on and do better next time :) God is always with us..

I agree JUJHEN god is always with us no matter what. It will be okay we will get through this Good luck to all of you!
