failed nusing school want to go back to lpn

Published

I went to a four year bsn program but i failed a course first semester then i repeated that course with a C+but failed clinicals. Instructor was hard on me and i didn't make any mistakes. but I really don't want to go into another bsn program and fail. So i am thinking about doing an lpn program and then bridge to an rn program. I have passed all other nursing classes in my 1st semster. I m so exhausted. i spend a lot of money in private school. i have pre courses which is valid for 3 more years. What should I do. Is going to an lpn program worth it. I applied to some lpn schools. I am an A student until i started nursing my confidence started shaking up and i lose my mind which went on to become doing crazy on the test. Any one please reply.

Sorry your having such a hard time:( You just need to get your confidence back....you CAN do this, every person in nursing is beating some sort of odds. Whether it's financial, learning difficulties, time restraints, kids, unsupportive family members etc....You just need to decide what your doing and DO IT! No one can make this decison for you, only you know what's best for you!! Get on your knees and pray about it, and no matter what you do...don't quit!~

Hey. Get an LPN license and you will be a nurse. You can even work as one. And the best part is that you might be able to use that to get into an LPN to RN program. If you don't go that route, you might find that no RN program accepts you after failing out of this one. Sounds like a solid plan to me. Good luck.

Please don't give up! YOU CAN DO IT and WILL DO IT just FOCUS:) failing does not mean anything because you are still breathing and you are able to continue on, it's when we are no longer breathing that there is nothing else to do

Whatever decision you make, good luck! Lpn to RN sounds like a great plan B to me. I am currently completing my Lpn, and have a friend who just finished this past April, and is working, loves it, and is making more than our RN friend who has been working for the past couple of years in her field. You can do this....

I'd do the LPN-RN route if I were you. Getting your LPN will give you an upper hand when going back for your RN. Plus, It would get you in the workforce quicker- and you could do it at a community college for so much cheaper!

okk i m going to do the lpn route since no school would take me, Thanks 4 ur advice. going to take the entrance exam on tuesday for lpn. Please pray for me.

Good Luck :) Also, I don't know if its that no school would take you, its just that they may make accept you, but make you start at the beginning.

i have the pre reqs and courses from another college but transferred in to another college for nursing. So i can still show that general eds and pre courses.
