I've just taken the nclex for the 3rd time on Saturday Sept,5 2015. I'm so disappointed. It cut of at 85 and i knew it wasn't good. I'm so confused. I went into the test this time not as nervous as the first 2times. I felt a little bit more sure of myself this time. But somehow I still failed. The first time I went all the way to 205, second time I went to 161 this time 85, 85 really. How could I have done so horrible when I studied more this time than the previous times. I'm just so fed up. I want to give up but then again I know I can't and I wont give up because I really love this profession and my ultimate goal is to return to school for my bsn so I can become a nurse in labor and delivery, or nicu, or pediatrics ( anything with babies and children) so I can't give up. And also im a mom of 3 and they have been so patient and supportive with them being so young they understand my struggle and im so blessed to have them I just want to make my kids happy and be able to provide better. But this test is really testing my everything. I've already prepared for number 4.
If I took my test at least a month and a half from now that shouldn't be too soon seein as though I've done it 3 times already.
85....... They could've given me more questions.... Right!!!!!!

Nakia29, I feel your pain. I am studying for my third time. First time 224, second time 80 and I studied harder than the first time. I even did Uworld the for second test free plus paid and completed it at 100%, average 49%. Then 500+. prior to my last test and average 65%. I cried almost two days straight in disbelief. I even told a friend about uworld and she took the test an swore by it. I also did Kaplan prior to retesting. So I completely understand.

Do not give up!!!! Do not give up!!! You've worked so hard for this and you'll definitely make it no matter the disappointment. I was in the same boat with you when I was used Kaplan, hurst, and Saunders. But for my last try I focused ONLY on NCSBN and Saunders. I read my Saunders from back-back about 3 times because you really should know your content!!!! After my Saunders I did the 5 week NCSBN program and i passed the NCLEX by God's GrAce. Do not loose hope or give up..remember God did not bring you this far to fail you. I promise you that put your trust in him..pray before your exam and you'll pass with flying colors. All the best to you..😀😀😀😀

Hello Nakia29
Don't give up! You can do this. I just took my NCLEX last week Tuesday and I passed with 75q. I used Uworld and LaCharity(best resources ever).

I also recommend NCLEX Mastery App. Put is on your phone and use it whenever you have a moment. Read the rationales of those you get wrong. Don't try to memorize, you can't memorize it all. Do a lot of questions and read the rationales. As you go through practice questions, you will find the questions easier to answer. You already know it all as you passed nursing school.
Day before you take the exam, do not study, go do something relaxing. Cramming is not good either. Hope you all do well the next time

I failed after two times and truly don't even have motivation to study. I feel like I'll never pass. I am so embarrassed that I can't pass a competency exam when I never failed a semester in nursing school.
