My first two attempts I took up to 265 questions with all near passes. my third attempt ended at 75 failing. I am desperate right now and need to pass this asap. What am I doing wrong? Any help and ideas will be much appreciated. I am slowly losing my mind.

Dear,so sorry to hear that, let yourself grieve and be sad and healed..after that get back and dont wait so long to study again and please, dont ever give up try again until you PASS..!! TAKE CARE your self:saint:

I actually had two close friends in the same boat. What worked for one was taking time off, regrouping, then retaking it (successfully). For the other, she studied totally different material and in a totally different way---we did flashcards and fill in the blanks. I actually wrote out the flashcards for her, focusing on common medications, lab values, isolation precautions---since those were not her strong points. She also passed her next attempt.

I don't know if any of this helps, but good luck!

i would suggest , if you havnt all ready, go do the hurst review, ist invaluable , and the kaplan review, i failed the first time only doing the kaplan , regrouped, studyed both again focusing on what my weaknesses were and retook it, also and i think this is big!. When i took my second nclex i took tons of breaks, had healthy snacks and took a couple 5-10 min walks during the test,, dont ever worry about the time , plan on being there 6 hours , at one point i think i left the building and walked to the store, and just cleared my mind. The big thing is dont give up, good luck

3rd time test taker.. first attempt stopped at 85.. next attempt went to 205 and now stopped at 90.. i feel like everytime i get a SATA question im never positive of my answers.. and i feel like im guessing most of the time.. since i stopped at 90 im assuming i didnt answer the basic questions correctly in order to get up to the higher level questions..

any suggestions on what to use to become more familiar with the content part of the nclex and how to better answer those sata questions.. i use the true and false method but its kinda pointless if ur not familiar with the certain content of the question..
