I am currently a firefighter / paramedic in Florida and due to various reasons (trying to study for NCLEX while studying for promotional exams, son was born, covid). I never was able to put 100% effort into studying. After a solid 6 months of content reading, UWorld, mark k, and a Kaplan course, I feel I'm ready to retake the exam but ran into a brick wall, the remedial course.
I feel overly prepared and don't want to throw $2000 into an online course unless I truly have to. My question is this:
Can I still apply to NYC BON instead of taking the remedial course, pass the exam there, and then apply to the Florida BON through endorsement or will they still require me to take the remedial course?
I know the logic behind the remedial course but don't see a need to throw $2000 if I can go this other route, thanks in advance.
For all those wondering the same thing, I just confirmed with the BON I can go ahead and follow my plan
