failed Nclex-RN, is it good idea to try LPN exam

i failed two times in Nclex-RN , my fisrt try was mar.2010 and second try was july 28 2010. Im afraid to take the NCLEX_RN so far because the florida board of nursing they only allow 3time and once you try 4th time i need to sit for remedial class.Every action that i take will cost money, yet i dont have job.Im so depress and im having a baby soon i need to make money for my family. And some of my friends suggest to try the LPN. i still have all my requirements at florida board of nursing, do i have to submit again?or is it different requirements?please help me. what do if i take LPN exam

If you want to take the NCLEX-PN, you have to submit a separate application. Personally, I would continue to take the NCLEX-RN until I passed it if I were you. There is no guarantee of a job if you get an LPN license. Now, if you fail a fifth time, I would seriously consider it. Either way, don't give up.

I would try NCLEX-RN again.

but for this time, I would take a review course.

I have a friend who took kaplan with me, and ended up failing (her fault, she did not put the time in because she was excited and preocupied with her 2 week trip to europe scheduled after her nclex-rn exam date!).

then she ended up getting her money back from kaplan, and then went to a live lecture review course called "hurst review". she ended up loving that review, and did everything that they told her... and she passed on her 2nd try.

so don't give up, and invest in a review course!

well if you want. I would recommend the Kaplan Complete Online course. It is a little pricey though.

there are three options, online live course, complete online course (not live), or the live course where there's a teacher who teaches you in person

Hi Mitchay08,

I'm also in Florida and i failed 2 times also. I know that 3rd time is really hard on me because of the remedial course you have to take. I took the Kaplan course but for some reason had no luck it could of been me though. I'm using Saunders for content and lacharity for priority and delegation 2nd edition. I also thought about the LPN course but thought I have come a long way to let my dream of becoming an RN:) If anyone has any suggestions of anything else please advise me. Good Luck to you:)

and they have

hurst review- comes to lakeland FL

Helen feuer review- comes to miami, FL

kaplan- centers all over the state.

mmmm do a research of your city and what they have available for review.

now definitely failed i got the result from mail, im afraid to retake again this will be my last chance got no choice but to have my refresh course on my 3rd take if... i fail, hopefully not. Iwas thinking about going back home and take the intensive review. I'm graduated from foreign country.
