failed nclex, just want to burst out and ask ?

Hi there..I took the NY nclex-rn last mid-may and I didn't make it..I know in my heart that I could not make it because I only got 3 weeks of study..I got my ATT end of April with 3 months of eligibility only..To my dismay, there where no other test date available except early June at Saipan but when I'm about to take a ticket for the said test location, I have to spend 1,200US$ just for ticket and I cant afford it..what I did was to change the test date and location HK and the only available date I got was last Mid-may with only 3weeks to study..the sad thing is, I have to give up my job to study fulltime for 3weeks, but to no avail..I know I was stupid making sudden changes of my schedule and giving up my job..But anyways, enough of my history.. Its been 2weeks now that I got my FAIL result and as people say, life must go on and cling more to God!..;)

:uhoh21: OOOPps! I almost forgot..I got a question, can anyone help me find a step by step instructions on how to re apply for NY NCLEX-RN again? I can't find re application or re take forms on their website. do I have to submit CVS-NY (a CGFNS service) again? If you're in the Philippines, it's really difficult to get a schedule of your NCLEX because you have to check for factors such as fare and hotel expenses from the testing location, I hope the US will approved the Philippines as their new testing location sooner...;)

I am not sure regarding NY application but try to go again in their website, i think u will be just needing to submit the application form (the one who submit before) and just the fees. They already have ur requirement etc soo u dont have to resubmit everything again. CHeck it to be sure.

To my Kababayan, I am living here on SAipan and already passed NCLEX RN too this year for the 3rd time. What I can advice is to never give up even though u feel losing hope sometimes. Never stop reading, be patient, write notes, Pray Pray PRay... JUst think than ur getting closer to ur dream, just never give up no matter what, YOu will earn the victory very very soon....

I used Saunders mostly, i finished the whole book

Thank you for the advice! I bought Saunders Comprehensive and Q & A books and i'm starting on it...I want to go to a review class here in philippines but the most popular center is Kaplan, I want to know if I could benefit from them? thanks again! It's good to know that a Kababayan cares! tsup!

pray everyday for guidance

at present, i'm self reviewing and doing ms suzannes4 plan...its very stimulating and gives u more direction..

Dont you give up!!! Study every day ..practice questions a lot of them, try Saunders review . Also if you could do Kaplan or buy the book, it is an excellent source. Lots of prayers..and you will suceed...Best of Luck!!!

Thank you everyone for the support! I really appreciate it! By the way, I still can't understand the NY re-application processing. I called up yesterday and they told me to just register on pearsonvue directly! I think they misunderstood me. Was my initial FORM1 fee for the NY Board still credited to take another exam? Or do I have to re-apply and pay for the FORM1 fee again? OH NO!!! I'm really getting headache now! Someone help me please! I'm desperate now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:uhoh3: :uhoh3: :uhoh3: :uhoh3:

Yes that's true try it again I am sure things will be better next time I am also currently reviewing for NCLEX first time but I am taking in CA I am here in the Philippines right now I am using Sanders and following Suzanne's tip

Hi.I'm sorry to hear that bad news,but I don't think 3 weeks of studying for NCLEX is not enough.No need to rush if you are not ready. I cannot give you adviced on how to re apply,because every state has different policy,the only thing I know,you can take exam again after 3 months.

Retake is after 45 days...not 3 months...

Thank you for the info....my auntie from USA confirmed it also that I can retake after 45 days, but I think I have to prepare well...Can you suggest any books on how to enhance my Strategy skills? Though I my have a good comprehension on the nursing knowledge, I really got confused to NCLEX questions that needs "strategy" skills in answering...Thank you everyone!;)
