Keep the FAITH! You CAN & WILL PASS. Have you tried Hurst review? I'm a firm believer that if you don't know content strategy won't really help. I'm doing Hurst online & I really think it's great for content

@ nena two heads are always better than one. sometimes u may feel you've done enough learning, but in sharing that is when you are able to assess yourself and also build on your knowledge base. if u dont mind do study or review with others. it will help. i will be glad to help. my skype name is el.lord12. u can come on board. anyone interested can also join in. i know every need will be met. thank you.

Nena0487 you will pass. Naturally some people may not be great test takers but know the material inside and out. There are many ways to pass the exam. @ellord, two heads are better than one and a study group is a great way to get the ball rolling. I personally referred to Elsevier's NCLEX review: Elsevier Student Life | NCLEX. This is their student life page and it has some great resources. I hope this helps you!

did you check out your candidate performance report? Not entirely sure where to get it, but should give you a good idea what areas you need to study and what areas you are already strong in, check out this webpage... it looks useful

Hey nena thanks for the friend invite. Me too dont know where to start. It's been several yrs since I went to school and I feel maybe I don't remember much. I normally work during d week but maybe we can email each other and help each other out that way. I have seen that people mentioned Hurst so I will look into it. What and how r u reviewing at d moment??

If possible I would like to exchange ideas with you also. I really need some help. I took the NCLEX 3 times and failed and I am stagnated now with trying to move on and take it again. Please help.

First of all you need to understand that worrying never helps and will never help. RELAX!! reading a lot of books may not be helpful. for content i advise you get one book. either you choose a book that explains the content well or a book that summarises the content, depending on how well u grasp when studying. then for questions get questions on prioritization and delegation, questions on direct content recall, and questions on analyzing and application.

Then Assess your activities and write down your free periods in a day. Asses when you absorb much in a siting. like in the morning, afternoon, evening or at night. learn at these times.

Are you a Christian? then you don't have a problem because you have a Father who is more interested in your SUCCESS!! Lay your cares on him. Now you are ready to go!!!

you have yourself to control. NO MATTER WHAT always study and solve questions each day.

Memorise 10 lab values each day.

Also remember that it is not about how much you have learnt but about how much you have absorbed. May the Good Lord show himself strong and Mighty on your behalf. Have the best....................ellord.

Don't despair..If you don't pass the NCLEX RN for now...take the LPN exams and you will still have a job.

I have my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing...been a nurse for more than 16 years , juggling my life here in America is not easy to pass the NCLEX.

I should say I am a better nurse than my DON. Lol.

My problem I am not good test taker and I have high anxiety level in taking exams even when I was in school.

Also just recent I failed again...I was relax I took anti-anxiety that I was so sleepy during the exam. So the minute I walk out I was done and did not pass.

At least when I walk out that door I still have a job waiting for me and family who cares for me.

I will still do it again.

Taking the nclex is no joke..i know because im on my 5th attempt tomorrow for the pn. This time around i changed alot of my routine. I was laid off work in jan 2012 so i took it to my advantage to get down to business. Studied for 4 month each day morning and night. Answered questions and read every rationale. Used my hurst contents for topics i didnt understand.. This time i made sure i understood what i learned.. But then again you can prepare yourself so much, but the nclex questions is nothing like what we studied. The most important thing i made sure i did was to pray everyday asking God to give me the strength throughout this process especially on my test day. To take awAy all my worries and anxiety! To think more positive and let go of the past results. So far He has answered my prayers. Tomorrow afternoon i will walk into the center with a positive attitude and pass this beast. Thank you Danielle318 for the support and encouragement. I'm trying to take the Hurst Review at the beginning of June. Hopefully it helps.. :-)
