So I was wondering if you delete your Facebook can employers or schools still be able to see it? I know they have their own system. Is it ok to have a personal Facebook while in nursing school or is that unprofessional ?

thanks !!

There is a good topic everyone. Keep it up. ;)

I'm looking at deleting and re-creating my FB account, and using it as a social tool to gather information, spread influence, and become even more socially-integrated. What I don't want is the wrong Friends seeing/reading certain things. I have a general understanding of the Privacy settings but can you simply select certain Friends and make it so they can't view your posts in general? I want to feel relaxed when I post, and not have to worry about back-stabbers and other underhanded people trying to ruin my day over petty things.

I also want to start adding more people as Friends, but only if I've met them in real life. I want to keep my finger on the pulse of current times in my social spheres.

There is nothing wrong with having a social media account. However, as a rule of thumb you probably should NEVER post anything on there you will regret later (like things you wouldn't want your parents, employer, or potential employer to see). I do not post anything distasteful onany social media account because it's the INTERNET! Even if you remove the content later, viewers can always "screen shot" it. When in doubt ... don't post.

Also, try to stay away from expressing your political views. Regardless, there are privacy settings you can utilize. For example, your Instagram can be made private.
