Hi everyone.
I thought that I would post a follow up to my husband's ordeal (details on "Complaints about a school" post). Alot has happened since then. He ended up hurting his back at work (he was working as a nursing assistant at a local hospital) and had back surgery on June 4th. Despite all of the challenges he has had to face this year, he is DETERMINED to become a nurse. He has applied to another ADN program which is actually closer to our home. They have a panel that reviews the curriculum that he already covered in level one. Unfortunately, the committee found to many "gaps" in the curriculum and want him to start in level one there. I am the one that is pissed about it. This man has taken level one twice! The first time, he failed by 2 points and the second time passed with flying colors. Then with 2 weeks left in level 2 and a 90 average he is FORCED to withdraw. All of that for NOTHING!! He has to start again from the beginning! I am amazed that his attitude is so good. He is upbeat and is looking forward to it. He sees it as an opportunity for him to be even better. He will surely be the star student since this will be the FOURTH semester for him!!! Poor baby. He is a better person than I. I would have given up months ago! I know that alot of you were very interested and very supportive during his ordeal. I thought it would be nice to give you some follow-up!!
:-) Rhonda

If he sees the positives, maybe you could too??? I think this is a person who is definitely willing to do what it takes to get where he is going, and if he is ok with it, I would be too:) Good luck to you both!
