Eyelash Lice

Yes, it's real! Saw a story on the news this morning. People are getting lice on their eyelash extensions. Just thought I would warn you, so now you can be on the lookout for those crafty buggers! ?

Ew Ew EWWWWW. Seriously? How? Those can't be real hair....can they?

People get them in natural lashes, eyebrows, facial hair. Since the dawn of time. Wannna know the even grosser part? They aren't the head lice species. But you know that or our badly affected kids would have them. Nope they are the pubic lice species.

I was just about to post this....I worked for an optometrist and saw a case of this - eyes were all irritated like pink eye and ended up being crabs on the lashes! Crazy!

I did have knowledge that this existed but I pray I never have to see it!!!!! EWWWWWWWWWWW

Thanks for the chuckle this morning but also ?????. The human body really is beautiful but utterly disgusting.

???

I once worked in a university health service, evening shift in the infirmary. One of my duties was to triage after-hours calls from students. One evening around 10pm, I received a panicked call from a young woman that she had given her boyfriend pubic lice (“crabs”). I told her to come in with her boyfriend and I would check them out. The young lady did, indeed, have pubic lice, but no nits. Boyfriend, on the other hand, had lice AND nits of every hairy surface of his body: head, facial hair, eyebrows, chest/arm/leg hair, pubic hair!!!! I couldn’t believe it ... and neither did the docs who reviewed the visit the next day. But I know what I saw. I itch just remembering it.

Do we have to notify the whole class about this? ?

This makes me feel very uncomfortable. Dislike.
