PediatricNP2017

Hi everyone,
Im currently a pediatric NP at a hospital. I work full time (36hrs a week). I was picking up a moonlighting shift pretty frequently, however our management is getting rid of moonlighting since our staffing has improved. I'm looking for ideas for extra income you guys have done. I've consider teaching BSN students but it's difficult to find a position that's pediatric based. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Maybe something crafty? A side business?I sell LuLaRoe and I make designer soap. I needed something that was not healthcare related before I had a psychotic episode. Best of luck to you, hon.

Here's an opportunity a friend of mine told me about recently. Seems you can earn extra money by referring people who need grab bars, etc. for their homes.
Good luck to everyone!

A great book I read once was called "The 4 hour workweek" by Tim Ferris. For non-traditional income, you should look at your strengths- what are you better at than anyone else? You should go niche because the large companies with their ability to have low overhead and reach make it difficult to make it into the broad world.
I specialize in NICU and I love teaching new nurses and NPs about my field. I'm also something of a spreadsheet nerd. So I created a small business that sells a spreadsheet that details all the NNP schools in the USA with comparisons and review questions for NICU nurses that are taking their certification exam (RNC and CCRN). I'm also in the process of developing a video subscription course for this review. Now- there are only about 300 people who apply to NNP school each year and about 1500 people who take the certification exam each year. But that's okay- there are very few or no resources on the products I'm offering. I can offer a premium selling my review book for say $120 whereas the popular Saunders NCLEX book with over 1,000 questions sells for $20.
