i'm getting a little bit frustrated here. i feel like there is nothing out there. i have been searching for pediatric or women's clinic, and post-partum positions with no luck. i have already worked on a pediatric floor and i am ready to try something new. i don't want to just work anywhere. any suggestions?

If you NEED to work then work.... If you WANT to work and are being picky about it then dont complain when you cant find what you WANT...

the sluggish economy has affected the availability of nursing jobs. beggars cannot be choosers, especially when looking for a job during the great recession. although you do not want to just work anywhere, i would accept any nursing position and remain employed there while you seek your dream job in postpartum or a pediatric or women's clinic. good luck to you!
thanks thecommuter! that's exactly what i plan on doing. ;-)
argo, there is actually a periop nursing program available in one of the hospitals. how do you like it?
I love peri-op but just like eveything else, its not for everyone.... worth a shot though.
