actually 2 of them, both my patients (shut up lol) and within 15 mins of each other. Talk about intense. It was only my 8th shift for my hospital clinical. Also one of the patients that later crashed was going to the bathroom and had a major GI bleed about 450 mL and almost passed out. Then another pt. who wasn't my pt. but I helped with amidst all the craziness got herself stuck in her bed with her head against the rail with her iv tube stuck while trying to get up to go to the bathroom, another pt had his second C-Diff code brown I had to help with while he refused to wear ANYTHING and did nothing but tell you how much he loved you and god. Awkward!
Anyone else have some pretty intense stuff happen on your clinicals.

Good grief, sounds so intense! How did you feel afterwards?
I'm sure you did a great job. :)

It was very intense, there was no time to think during. I watched my CI go from teacher to code nurse mode, I ran with her to go get blood from 1st floor because we didn't have time to wait for the lab and there was some hangup over a lock code on the blood drops sent. Something like that. The oncall Dr. that showed up is my PCP LOL I was like "Oh hey Dr. XXXXXXX". This was all during the last 1.5 hours of my ****. I got home and was wound up for the next couple hours and had class early the next morning. (I have evening clinicals) So I finally had to cave in and take an Ambien to go to sleep.
2 codes wee also called in ER downstairs. It was a crazy night for us. We aren't a huge big city hospital.
