Hello All!
I've been a USRN since Nov 09 and had been applying like crazy. I'm glad that for the dozens of applications I sent out, I got 2 job interviews for this month. I will be having a job interview for a charge nurse position in one of the reputable hospitals near my city and I'm just wondering what to expect on a Psychiatric Floor? I have no working experience in this department, though I had a month clinical experience when I was a student nurse in the Philippines. Psychiatric Nursing was my least favorite when I was in school and I just wanna give it a try. Maybe my thoughts about it would change. Plus, I'll be interviewed by the HR Manager and the Nurse Manager on the same day. I just wanna know what nurse managers usually asks on a potential employee? I've never been interviewed by a nurse manager before so I'm kinda freaking out.
Your replies is highly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm v. skeptical of any hospital ("reputable" or otherwise) that would hire someone with no psych experience to be a charge nurse on a psych floor. That is just asking for trouble, for you and for the unit.
