Hello everyone, I have an exit exam coming up soon. To prepare I have read the entire saunders book. I have been doing questions off of evolve from (saunders book) and nclex 3000. my score on the test are so low that it is frustrating me. My average on my test are 49% - 60%. No matter how many test I take I can not reach a higher score. My questions is if anybody can help me figure out why I am scoring so low on my test. Thank in advance for your help.

Hi there!
I will tell you about my personal experience I hd on April 9,2015.
110 questions HESI PN EXIT exam I passed with 982 ,and I could do A 1000,cuz some math ggt/min was an example 37.5 and they asked me rounded to 38 ggt/min I didn't pay attention . or math like calculate the dose in ml,but here gotta be careful if you draw up insulin let say 0.5 put the point on the middle of the plunger not on the top as I did,and got wrong Questions wasn't difficult !!! And if you was reading really those books you listed, believe me ,you all set.
Don't be stressed,never works!!!!
Keep Calm and you'll do it.
Fundamentals please, delegations to UAP . Catheter care, heart sounds, lung sounds. Those things we had to study at school.
Dangerous sing and symptoms you 'll report to RN.
They will test you mostly on clinical skills!!!
Wasn't a lot of pharma,very easy ones .
Drains you have to know, your PPE donning and removing ,what's goes 1st and last ......
I will even do V2 and V3 for fun .for more practice .
You can Do it,and yes we had to pass this one in order to graduate. We have 10 students 7 passed,1 got 849 :) other 847 and 1 didn't pass and was really low in 700.
Be positive !!!!! about this exam and don't listen to negative people around who didn't pass they didn't really study that hard or had bad luck.Personally I treat this one sceptically cuz if you don't pass doesn't mean you gonna be a bad nurse No WAy just take your golden time :)
Believe I know how you feel,I have been there myself
Be very careful when reading the questions !
If you have any questions ,more then welcome !
And I had ATI prepatation I got 76% had 150 questions, they want min of 60% ,I have purchased Kaplan PN .I'm all ready to study for NCLEX PN. Just gonna pass last nursing school Final Exit and I'm done with journey for this time.

We can't really tell because we are not you and/or do not know how you are rationalizing the choices.
I think if you think you have a problem with test-taking strategies then I would recommend, "Strategies for Test Success" by Saunders.
I'm using the book now for test-taking strategies and find that it helps.
If you read Saunders and you are making these scores then it may be that you are not understanding what you are reading. In which case,
I would consider another source for content review.
Also, don't pass up the chance to sign up for a review course. Since you are making such low scores on practice tests, you may need a review course to just jump-start your studying.
I heard Hurst Review and Kaplan are the best review courses out there. If you choose Kaplan by the end of April, you can get $110 off a review course with their coupon code LEAD110
