I have accepted a position in a level 3, 80 bed NICU and I'm soooo super excited. I have been working there as an extern since June but am still nervous. I know it's going to be way different as an RN and to tell ya the truth I'm a tad...ok a lot nervous. I love the unit, love everyone who works there, the nurse manager is outstanding, and I'll be starting with 2 other girls from my class. It all sounds great and they do have an excellent internship but I just can't help but think that I will sink and drown. I really don't know why I feel like there's a black could over me but I just want this to work so badly. I have wanted this since before I started HS. This is all I have ever wanted and now that it's here, I'm scared. I guess that's normal but I just want everything to turn out fine. Any words of wisdom out there to make this a smooth transition would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
